The Maitland Saints face last year's grand final conqueror Singleton in round three of the BDAFL Black Diamond Plate on Saturday.
While the Saints fans will want revenge, the Saints will have a new-look line-up from last year when they travel to Singleton on Saturday.
The four-points will be the Saints main focus in their first game against top-line opposition this season.
Maitland had a 103-point win against Muswellbrook in the opening round and then won on forfeit when Bateau Bay couldn’t field a team.
The Saints played a smart running game with good ball movement for large parts of the game against the Cats, but dropped off in intensity in an ordinary third term and will need to produce a four-quarter effort on Saturday.
They will be boosted by the return of several senior players, notably midfield general Ben Stewart.
The Saints women will look to bounce back from a 14-point loss last round to Warners Bay.
