The Grand Junction Hotel, Maitland Post Office, Flash Palace were just a few of the city’s iconic facades to be cast in his signature style. Meanwhile a temporary mural was pasted up near the train station to promote the event – now Mr Dickinson is back in town to make it a permanent, eye-catching fixture.
“This design is Maitland’s Hollywood sign,” Mr Dickinson said.
In the new mural, the word “MAITLAND” will stand in a green, rolling landscape inspired by the areas near Morpeth.
Cows peer around the massive letters while a tribute to the Indian Root Pills building stands against a bright blue sky.
It is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
