A raucous and nerve-wracking comedy, Dinner begins when Bernie (played by Zac Smith) organises a romantic weekend with his mistress Suzanne (played by Millie Lambert) while his wife, Jackie (played by Chloe Peters), is away.
But it doesn’t take long for chaos to begin pulling at his intricate, erotic web of lies.
When everyone’s alibi and identity gets confused with everyone else’s, an evening of hilarious confusion ensues as Bernie and his best friend Robert scrabble at breakneck speed.
Dont Dress For Dinner opens at Maitland Repertory Theatre on Wednesday and continues until Saturday May 13, on Friday and Saturday evenings with two Sunday matinees on 30 April and 7 May.
Bookings can be made online at www.maitlandreptheatre.org, at Maitland Visitor Information Centre or tickets can be bought at the door.
