Maitland Netball Association dons pink to help fight against breast cancer

Tolfsaf Cranes moved into the top four with a thrilling one-goal win against Royal Federal in Maitland A-grade netball on Saturday.

The Maitland Blacks A-grade newcomers made it back-to-back wins as they survived to post a 29-28 victory and deny Branxton team Royal Federal their first win of the season.

Branxton’s other team, the youthful GMP continue to improve but Club Maitland City proved too experienced in the end and consolidated third spot with a 42-31 win.

Last year’s grand finalists Hills Solicitors and The George Tavern remain undefeated after four rounds, accounting for The Bradford and Maitland Carpet Court respectively.

Hills beat The Bradford 57-25 and The George defeated Maitland Carpet Court 66-33, but both know they need to remain near their best form.

Maitland netballers and supporters donned pink to mark the association’s Pink Day at Maitland Netball courts on Saturday. The event was held to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer Network Australia.
