The group celebrated the anniversary of the popular event on Monday, with a cake and – you guessed it – dancing.
Kathy and Greg Parsons joined in on the Monday dance in the early days, two decades ago, and have been going ever since.
“You meet friends, you exercise and you’ve got to think to do the dance – so it’s three things together,” Mrs Parsons said.
They encouraged other seniors in the Maitland area to join the group – which had given them much joy over the years.
“We’ve met some fantastic people,” Mr Parsons said.
The Monday Dance is just one of many social initiatives the association regularly runs.
Other events include luncheons, Mahjong, games, craft, carpet bowls, choir and day trips.
