Starr Partners Maitland’s Principal Andrew Cant and agent James Rodrick are in the running to take out two accolades in the 2017 Real Estate Business Awards – one of the country’s most coveted achievements in the industry. 

Mr Cant has been named a finalist in the principal of the year – regional category, while James has been named a finalist in the newcomer of the year category.

Mr Cant said he felt humble when he learned they had been shortlisted. 

“That both myself and James have been recognised for our excellent contribution to the real estate industry reinforces the strength of our business and ability in connecting with our target market, and customers,” he said. 

Starr Partners offers real estate sales and property management services to the Maitland community – both in residential and commercial interests.

Mr Cant is a non-selling principal who is focused on supporting his Maitland-based staff and nurturing the local business.

Mr Rodrick specialises in client relationships and treats every buyer as if they are a vendor.

Word-of-mouth referrals make up almost 30 per cent of the work. 

The awards recognise the industry’s leading agents, property managers and office groups, and the most innovative agents and businesses.The awards also aim to recognise those who are flourishing in the face of the industry’s ongoing challenges.

The winner will be announced on July 6.
