A NSW police officer has been charged over an alleged domestic violence incident involving a teenage girl in Sydney's west.

Emergency services were called to a home in Blacktown just before 4pm on Friday afternoon following reports that a teenage girl had been assaulted.
Police from Mt Druitt Local Area Command arrested the 39-year-old senior constable and charged him with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The teenage girl is assisting police with their inquiries.
The officer is attached to a local area command in the South West Metropolitan Region, a police spokesperson confirmed on Saturday.
He will appear at Mt Druitt Local Court on May 29.
