Diary Notes: what’s on around town

The next Monthly meeting of the Maitland Region Society of Artists is at Lorn Park Bowling Club on tomorrow at 4.30pm, followed by dinner at the club (optional). Everyone with an interest in art is welcome. Phone Chris on 0488547277 for details.


Woodberry and Tenambit Playgroup will hold an excursion (9am-11am) to St Paul’s Anglican Church, Beresfield on Monday, June 19 where the children will have a mini disco. Playgroups are free community play session and all families with children 0-6 are welcome. Bring a plate of food to share. The church is on the corner of Lawson and Beresford Ave.


Counterpoint Chamber Choir will present a concert at St James Anglican Church, Tank Street, Morpeth on Sunday, June 18 at 2pm. The program combines both sacred and secular music, including works by Mozart and Stanford as well as spirituals and traditional folksongs. Admission is $20 which includes afternoon tea.
