Maitland Saints clean sweep Newcastle City Blues in all three games

The Maitland Saints shared the goals around as they saw off a determined Newcastle City Blues to win by 33-points.

Ben Crowley and Wade Beard both finished with three and Josh Button and Aiden Damico chimed in with two apiece as the Saints prevailed 12.10-82 to 7.7-49.

Dean Notman had his best game since returning to the Saints this year from Cardiff and former Hawk Dustin Spriggs was again in the Saints best.

The Maitland Saints women had a huge 158-point win against the Blues with Amy Worth kicking five goals and Sarah Burns and Sarah James both booting four.

Jacqui Dudgeon was the Saints best in a huge team performance, with Felicity Millen and Claire Gaspersic also in the votes.

The Saints reserves were also victorious running out 11.5-71 to 3.5-23 on a dark day for the Blues.
