The school is teaching 15 students to play the drums and they are already performing in the community.
The donation from AVID Property Group, which is being released over three years, is making it possible.
“Our aim is to give as many students as possible the opportunity to develop an appreciation for the arts, to socialise and work as a team,” assistant principal and band coordinator Petra Yager said.
Year 5 student Tyson Nevin has joined the group and said “expressing myself with music makes me happy”.
Student Logan Hartigan said “mastering the drums is a life skill.”
