Police are asking for public assistance to locate a stolen ride-on lawn mower. The distinctive Toro brand mower was stolen from a trailer on Forsythe Parade, Black Hill around 11am on Friday, June 16.

The mower is large by ride-on standards. It is black and red and controlled by two bars, not a steering wheel.

STOLEN BULLOCK
A charolais bullock was stolen from a Gresford Road paddock on the evening of June 12.
Charolais are a large breed of cattle with no horns. They are a cream colour.

GRAFFITI ARREST
Two males aged 24 and 30 were arrested on Sunday morning for allegedly painting graffiti on the rail bridge at the intersection of Melbourne Street and Pitnacree Road, East Maitland.
At the time of arrest police will allege the men were in possession of 37 cans of spray paint. The men will attend Maitland Court.
DETAINED MAN
On Friday afternoon a man attended a Maitland department store and allegedly stole more than $100 in clothes.
The man was detained by store security until police arrived.
Upon arrival, police also allegedly located a set of knives in the man’s possession. The 31-year-old male will now appear at Maitland Court.
WATCHED POTS
On Saturday morning a fire occurred in a Woodberry kitchen when a cooking pot was forgotten.
The pot of food caught fire and spread to the stove exhaust fan and nearby area.
The local fire brigade attended and extinguished the blaze, but not before the kitchen and premises suffered smoke damage.
It’s a lesson to us all to keep a careful watch when cooking.
