ANNIVERSARY
Maitland and District Historical Society will hold its 40-year celebrations at St John’s Hall, Cathedral Street on Saturday, July 8. Guest speakers will be journalist Greg Ray and Gionni Di Gravio. Lunch starts at noon with an anniversary cake cutting at 1.20pm. Cost is $35. Money and RSVP by Friday, June 23.

ORCHID SHOW
Maitland and Coalfields District Orchid Society will hold their annual winter show at Cessnock Market Place (near IGA) from June 29 to July 1. There will be a selection of plants for sale and experts on hand.
