Police found a mace, a home-made taser and other weapons in a crashed utility vehicle that was left abandoned on Monday.

The driver allegedly fled after crashing the rented ute into another vehicle at Trappaud Street, South Maitland about 5.45pm.
The man was chased by the two male occupants of the other vehicle, who eventually lost sight of him.
Police also searched the area with the dog squad, but could not find the driver.
Officers went back searched the ute, where they found a mace, a hunting knife, two shotgun cartridges, multiple .22 bullets and “an improvised electronic shock device”, otherwise known as a home-made taser.
Police are appealing for information from the public to find the man.
