The Olive Tree Market is looking for handmade goods created in Maitland and Hunter Valley to add to its repertoire when it comes to Maitland Regional Art Gallery on July 22.
“It’s important to have local people at the market … We are seeking stallholders from Maitland and the Hunter Valley community,” founder Justine Gaudry said.
The winter seasonal market unites eclectic art and design, flowers, food, fashion and gourmet food.
It also boasts olives, olive oil, dukka, honey and hot chilli sauce, to name a few.
Shoppers can explore the stalls, indulge in a taste test, relax to popular singer Tori Forsyth’s music and enjoy the many food trucks.
Fashion designer Inside Job, Brett Niven’s ceramics and Growing Creations by Rushi’s plants are some of the items on offer.
The kids will be entertained with the winter library and face painting.
“It has a contemporary feel, it’s not an old-style arts and craft market,” she said.
The market will be held between 9am and 2pm.
