The Hunter Academy of Sports has fielded three teams in the competition which has drawn 23 teams from sports academies across the state.
Hunter has two teams in division one and a young development team in division two.
The tournament has been hailed a success and continues on Friday with the final rounds of the competition.
More than 1000 players, parents and officials have visited Maitland for the three-day event which started on Wednesday.
The Hunter teams were draws from academy’s under-14 and under-16 teams, with Maitland’s Amity Petersen, 13, Lexy Holz, 14, Abbey Allomes, 15, Caitlyn Doherty, 13, and Cessnock’s Nikki Murnane, 15, taking part.
