Hills Solicitors have lost their first game of the season falling by a goal in a thriller with Maitland Carpet Court.
The reigning premiers were without four players, but the result was still a major upset and lifts Carpet Court into the top four, three points clear Tolsaf Cranes in fifth and Tolsaf Cranes three points further adrift.
Hills and The George Tavern are now equal on points, with Hills still on top courtesy of a better for and against record.
The George defeated Branxton GMP 59-29.
Club Maitland City were also big winners cementing third spot, just five points adrift of the top two, defeating Royal Federal Hotel 49-26.
Tolsaf Cranes kept themselves in finals contention with a 42-40 win against The Bradford.
