The annual event brings together some of the Hunter’s finest baristas, roasters and chocolatiers in a delicious experience that promises to ward off the winter chill.
There will be live demonstrations, outdoor lounge areas, a kid’s cafe and a host of live music across the weekend.
A number of new additions are set to feature this year including the Rocky Road Lab in the kid’s activity area run by Cake Craze.
There will be more than 80 stalls and a range of coffee and chocolate inspired cooking demonstrations on the TAFE NSW Flavour Stage from local businesses like Myrtle & Pepper and Dragonfly Foods.
Maitland Council events coordinator Adam Franks said the event provided an opportunity to showcase the talented producers from around the region.
“Aroma brought more than 15,000 people to Central Maitland last year and we encourage everyone to come along and enjoy a great weekend,” he said.
TAFE NSW will run some of the workshops across the weekend.
TAFE NSW pastry chef Paul Miranda said the event was a great celebration of the wonderful ingredients coffee and chocolate.
“We’ll be at Aroma to show festival goers not just what we can do with amazing ingredients, but also what they can do when shown how,” he said.
While it isn’t officially part of the event’s schedule, festival goers will also have the opportunity to experience the very first Hunter Arts Network Art Bazaar Pop Up market in The Levee on August 12.
The festival runs from 10am to 4pm both days. For more information about the event visit maitlandaroma.com.au
