Friends of Maitland Library’s John Brown said the timeless appeal of books always made for a busy weekend.
“There is still a number of people that love their books. It’s a creative thing,” John said.
“When you’re reading a physical book, it lets your mind create a picture.”
The book sale will kick off at Town Hall from 9am Saturday. Buyers can fill an entire bag for just $10, with all funds raised going back towards the library.
John encouraged enthusiastic readers to get in early to beat the morning rush.
With a huge amount of books on sale, ranging from fiction to non-fiction, paperback to hardback, John said there’s something for everyone.
“Whatever they want, they’ll find it here,” John smiled.
