If you have a dog-shaped hole in your life then this weekend is the time to fill it.

The RSPCA Hunter Shelter has a half-price sale this Friday to Monday on all adult dogs. Whether you are after a pooch to eat your heart out or simply eat your leftovers, you are sure to find the furry friend for you. All adult dogs, dogs aged six to eight years, will be just $169 over the weekend.

The sale is a fantastic opportunity to find homes for dogs that have been with the shelter for a long time. It also means people who may not have been able to afford the higher cost of adoption don’t have to miss out.

Petey is a Staffordshire bull terrier X and he has been with the RSPCA for five-months. He was found in the bush with a broken leg.

Kiki is an Australian kelpie/American bulldog who was microchipped but unfortunately not reclaimed.

“By running the promotion we aim to find wonderful dogs like these a loving home sooner,” senior manager of Hunter RSPCA, Debbie Jaggar said.

All dogs come vaccinated, microchipped and desexed.
