The Levee Marketing and Activity Plan 2017/18, covers everything from one-day sales to Christmas promotions and night time economy.
The plan will be managed by Maitland City Council and was developed with input from an online survey to traders, a trader workshop and The Levee Marketing Advisory Group.
It was subsequently offered to the wider trader and building owner community for input.
The plan is now moving into the implementation phase and will be the benchmark for the delivery of marketing initiatives and activities in The Levee.
It is funded from marketing rate levies in the precinct.
As part of The Levee’s branding process a range of promotional items will continue to reinforce the brand message to the wider community.
A range of activities have also been planned and will cover programs for Christmas, Sunday trade, night time economy, promoting links to the river and promotions such as one day sales.
A report to council prepared by council officers said the plan is intended to take the precinct past the completion of The Levee Development Component Two (including construction of the Riverlink Building).
Marketing initiatives will remain centered around creating brand identity as well as the delivery of promotions and event and campaign support.
The report said activities will focus on a range of themes that aim to contribute to the continued development of The Levee as Maitland’s premier lifestyle precinct.
