An estimated 16,000 people attended the event with strong crowds reported over both Saturday and Sunday.
Maitland City Council Events Curator Jess Hartigan said the weather played a major role in the weekend’s success.
She said other drawcards were live cooking demonstrations, one with Hunter TAFE pastry chef Paul Miranda, and hands-on activities like making your own rocky road and cup cakes.
Ms Hartigan said the bulk of the crowd came from the Maitland Local Government Area, others from the wider Hunter Valley and Newcastle areas.
Street food, coffee and chocolate stalls were also big winners over the two days.
“The event was well attended with no hiccups,” Ms Hartigan said. “Everything ran smoothly and the festival has been great for the city."
