The titles hit off tonight at the Maitland Indoor Sports Centre, in Rutherford, and run through to the finals on Sunday.
The Maitland Panthers, who play in the Northern NSW divistion, have three teams in this year’s title.
“It’s a big achievement. It’s the first time we have qualified this many teams since we have been in the Northern NSW competition,” Mens 1 skipper Barry Richards said.
The three best teams from Sydney and the three best teams from country across the four grades, premier, men’s 2, men’s 3 and masters.
“The country teams will be drawn against the Sydney teams in the preliminary rounds,” Richards said.
“Teams will have one game on Friday and two games on Saturday.
“The finals on Sunday will be semi-finals between first and fourth and second and third, with the winners of both going into grand finals.
“It will be action packed with games pretty much constantly going on.
“We’d love fans to come along and support the Maitland teams and just get to see what an exciting sport it is.”
Games start at 7pm on Friday, from 9am on Saturday and 9.30am on Sunday. Entry is free and there are refreshments and food available at the canteen.
