Maitland Carpet Court go down to Club Maitland City in A-grade netball finals

Maitland Carpet Court are the first team to be eliminated from the A-grade netball finals, after going down in a tight tussle with Club Maitland City on Saturday 34-31.

CMC will now progress to the preliminary final on September 2, where they’ll play the loser of the top-two qualifying final between The George and Hills on August 26.

The grand final will be played on September 9.

Hills Solicitors will be looking to add another premiership victory to their trophy cupboard to go alongside their 2014 and 2016 wins.

The George Tavern finished the 2017 regular season in first place, ending a run of six consecutive minor premierships for Hills, who finished second.
