The Hawks secured top spot with a 48-22 victory over Morpeth on Saturday.
They’ll now take on Gloucester, who finished the season in fourth place, in a qualifying final to be held at Lakeside Oval on Saturday.
Abermain have been strong performers throughout the season, storming to top spot on the ladder with 13 wins from 17 games this year.
Snapping at their heels were Woodberry, who had the potential to leapfrog the Hawks into top spot if Abermain didn’t win their final match.
In the other qualifying final this weekend, Waratah Mayfield take on the Woodberry Warriors.
