Founder Justine Gaudry said she had been trying to entice more artisans and designers to become involved but her calls had fallen on deaf ears.
“We are really trying to involve more artists and designers from Maitland, and the Hunter, but it's been proving quite difficult to reach this audience and get them on board as stallholders,” she said.
“We have loved being at Maitland, and working with the gallery, and have had a successful partnership with MRAG for 2/12 years now.
“However, in order to continue the market at Maitland we really need a bigger pool of curatives involved at the market, and to find new ways of engaging the Maitland audience.”
A seasonal market is held in Maitland three times every year.
The next market will be held at Maitland Regional Art Gallery on September 23 between 9am and 3pm.
