The greatest of all the tributes was former First Lady Michelle Obama, who, like the other participants, posed as Beyonc?? in her Formation video.

Prompting reactions on social media such as this:

Obama has long been an honorary member of the Bey-hive. Beyonc?? performed at Barack Obama's 2008 inauguration.

And Obama has supported Beyonc??'s education initiatives.

The post on Beyonc??'s website, titled Happy Birthday Beyonc??, includes a link for fans to donate to the Hurricane Harvey appeal. Beyonc?? is already said to have donated millions in aid to her childhood hometown that has been ravaged by the floods.

In a statement to the Houston Chronicle, the 36-year-old said her philanthropic initiative Beygood and her life-long pastor were working to "implement a plan to help" as many people as they can. Speaking to ET, Bey's pastor, Rudy Rasmus spoke of the impact Beyonc??'s efforts were making on the community

"She's starting out with a significant donation, and that donation is getting us to launch out into some areas that help us more effectively impact the communities that have been the most affected," Rasmus said. "She has, over the years, been very generous to our cause, and we continue to work together. She has been a huge benefactor to our efforts here in Houston, Texas."
