With 104 places available across 6 rooms, the centre is now taking enrolments and will host an open day for families on November 25 from 9.30am to 11.30am, giving parents and children a first hand view of how the centre operates and the facilities available to its early learners.
Staff at Little Miracles Early Education and Long Daycare Centre know that a good or bad experience can make the difference to how your child will approach “big school” and pride themselves on providing an environment that will ensure a smooth transition into time away from home.
Beginning care can be an emotional time for both parents and children.
Little Miracles know a child finds security in routine and the team works with families to ensure that home routines are followed for each child in the 0-2 years’ room.
In the younger rooms, educators integrate each child’s routine together to form the room routine that is specific to that room, that day and that group of children.
Little Miracles pride themselves on creating home-like learning havens using an array of strategies, including the simplicity of the aesthetics.
School readiness begins the first day your child starts at Little Miracles, commencing in the baby room and continuing through to the preschool rooms.
Flying Start© is Little Miracles’ school readiness program which prepares your child for kindergarten. Flying Start© covers the two main skills needed to learn; pre-reading and pre-writing.
This includes writing their name, using scissors, looking after their own belongings, following instructions and rotating table activities.
Although this might sound basic, most children don’t learn this until kindergarten or early school, so it’s a major advantage for your child.
When children are read to on a regular basis, in a relaxed and informal way, the results are truly amazing. So, Little Miracles has formed an expert reading component of their curriculum called Loving Language©.
Loving Language© covers all the different aspects of literature and reading and includes the Teach Your Toddler to Read© program.
Teach Your Toddler to Read is used throughout the centre, starting with musical CDs for babies, and progressing through to fun games and activities towards magnetic boards. It is enjoyable game-based learning, and no child is forced to participate.
Loving Language© gives away a free book each month, which helps build the child-parent bond and forms an early love for reading.
