A towel and tools were allegedly thrown at a police car during a pursuit in Cessnock on Wednesday morning.

Police were patrolling on Maitland Road just after 2.30am when they spotted a Hyundai Accent driving in an unusual manner.
The officer signaled for the car to pull over, but it allegedly sped off.
Police chased the car through several streets, before it reached the intersection of Quarrybylong Street and Aberdare Road.
At that point it is alleged that a towel and tools were thrown at the police car.
The chase continued onto Racecourse Road, before two people were arrested on foot in bushland a short distance away from the vehicle.
The men, aged 23 and 29, were charged with throwing missiles at police.
Police are making further inquiries in relation to the car, and to determine who the driver of the vehicle was.
The 23-year-old man was refused bail to appear in Cessnock Local Court on October 4.
The 29-year-old man was granted bail to appear in Cessnock Local Court on October 18.
