Western Suburbs’ star Aaron Mahony led the scoring with 134 in first grade against Thornton Park, with Johanthon Halloran making an unbeaten 121 for Raymond Terrace in their four-wicket win against Norths in second grade.
Halloran dominated the batting with just two other batsman making double figures as the Lions made 6/193 in 32.1 overs.
Norths’ Ben Clouten gets the award for the unluckiest batsman of the week being bowled for 99 against Raymond Terrace in fifth grade.
The runs were also flowing for another Norths batsman with Daniel Cant finishing on 92 not out against Raymond Terrace.
There was a run-scoring spree in the third grade fixture between Wests and Thornton, with Wests’ John Rolls unbeaten on 89 and Thornton’s Jacob Hojer making 86 and Adam Tymkiw 75 retired not out.
Wests got the points making 6/260 from their 40 overs and restricting Thornton to 8/212.
In B-grade Simon Dalton made 81 not out for Port Stephens and Shayne Taylor 78 for Seaham.
Raymond Terrace first grade batsman Shannon Bills made 77 in his side’s win against Norths.
Behind the stumps David Coelli took five catches for Tenambit Morpeth in third grade against City United. Raymond Terrace’s first grade keeper Joseph Harden collected four catches and a run out against Norths.
There were also some outstanding efforts with the ball with Norths’ Jordan Callinan (5-29) and Easts’ Josh Hicks (5-37) both claiming five-wicket bags in first grade.
However, the best figures belonged to Kurri Weston’s Conner Garred who claimed 5/17 in third grade against Easts.
James March claimed 5/33 for Tenambit Morpeth against City United in fourth grade.
