Rutherford Telarah Rotary, the Rotary Club of East Maitland and Maitland Sunrise Rotary Club members are encouraging concerned residents to join them as they clean up the shire for Graffiti Removal Day 2017.
Volunteers are invited to join in the fun on Sunday, October 29.
Rutherford Telarah Rotary’s Bob Parsons said the clubs’ members, who deal with vandalism throughout the year, had a strong sense of civic pride.
“Rotary Clubs in Maitland City are committed to combating graffiti,” he said.
Mr Parsons said the clubs expected to clean in excess of 2000 square metres of graffiti at the annual event.
The event has been growing from year to year, with more than 1500 NSW volunteers participating in 2016.
