And, thanks to the combined efforts of the Rotary Club of Maitland Sunrise, East Maitland Rotary Club and Rutherford Telarah Rotary – Maitland’s residents can enjoy a cleaner city.
Together, the groups removed graffiti from more than 1500 square metres.
Rutherford Telarah Rotary’s Bob Parsons said volunteers assisted the club’s members in graffiti removal at a number of sites, including the Uniting Church at Rutherford. They also cleared vandalism from 180 panels of Colorbond fencing in lane ways.
“In all, they removed graffiti from 19 sites across the Rutherford Telarah area,” he said.
“The Rotary Clubs have an ongoing graffiti removal project and the public should contact the Rotary clubs in their area for assistance, as they do love where they live.”
The clubs work throughout the year to keep the city looking good. For more information about upcoming projects, contact 0419 998 315 or 0418 641 600.
