The Levee is taking on a distinctly Christmas feel and Maitland City Council’s City and Visitor Economy Coordinator Martin Payne said it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
The Christmas makeover started this week and the nutcrackers have returned for their third year. Those damaged last year are back and looking their best.
“A new addition this year is the decorating of garden surrounds we’re hoping will be a hit with mums, dads and kids,” Mr Payne said. “Trees in The Levee have also been decorated with Christmas baubles, the two closest to Riverside Plaza, have been hand painted by Metford Public and Maitland High students.”
Santa’s workshop on The Levee is offering free photos starting Thursday (November 16). They will be open every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday to December 23. There’s loads of entertainment and activities also planned in the lead up to Christmas on Thursday nights.
