The source was none other than lone piper Joe Royston, or Piper Joe as he prefers to be known, performing along the riverside walk near Lavenders Cafe.
”It would have been too noisy down the street as you can’t turn a bagpipe down,” Piper Joe said.
“I asked the people at the cafe if they would mind if I played and they had no problem.
“I’m pleased to say it brought along a few customers for them as people wandered down trying to discover where the sound of the pipes was coming from.”
