Duncan, who promotes Aussie world champion Jeff Horn and Anthony Mundine, heaped praise on O’Meley after Friday night’s two-round knock-out of Daniel Maxwell in Sydney.
It confirmed Duncan’s decision to put O’Meley on Mundine’s January 17 card at Star City Casino in Sydney.
"Young Troy O’Meley, who I am tipping, has a great future in the sport. I have a feeling about him similar to what I had when I first started studying Jeff Horn,” Duncan said.
“Troy tonight in just his fourth fight stopped his opponent, with 59 fights under his belt, in the second round.
“Great effort when you consider Daniel’s last eight opponents couldn’t put him away and four of them were undefeated.
Maxwell said after the fight: “Troy is classy - I have never been hit that hard before.
