While temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to rise above 40 degrees, don’t let that concern you.

A cool change on Wednesday afternoon will bring some relief, leading into a temperature drop and possible showers on Thursday and Friday.

It is anticipated the mercury will rise again on the weekend, before falling to a bearable range on Christmas Day.

The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast a temperature range of 21 to 29 degrees on Monday for Maitland.

Chance of any rain is at 60 per cent, with a shower or two predicted.
