Every year the Newcastle Herald heads along to enjoy a day at the track and run the online ‘fashions on the field’ - The Herald’s Boxing Day races Hot 100.

Herald photographers snap 100 racegoers dressed to impress and then throw the vote open to the public online.

Last year’s winner was Komiti Levai from Georgetown.

With his blue shirt and jacket, topped off by black hat, sunglasses and bowtie, Komiti topped the poll.

Runner-up was Charmaine Young, of Warners Bay, with Cameron Park’s Jeranda Smith rounding out the top three.

Keep an eye out for the Herald team at the races if you want to be photographed for the 2017 competition.
