Medowie farmer Graham Harris is bringing more than 300 kilograms of peaches, nectarines and plums to the Slow Food Earth Market in The Levee so shoppers can enjoy local fruit on their table on Christmas Day.
There will be 200 kilograms of peaches, 100 kilograms of nectarines and a few cases of plums to buy.
Eight pieces will cost $4 and 10 will cost $5.
Farmer Tony Milburn, the man behind the great peach rescue in The Levee earlier this month – where 240 kilograms were sold in two hours – is keen to help rescue the fruit.

He said it suffered hail damage during a recent storm which made it bruise easily once it ripened.
He promised a few imperfections would not affect the taste.
It’s Medowie stone fruit which was always considered one of the best stone fruits in our district,
- Tony Milburn
“Every Christmas when you look at the festive table it has always got in season fruit on it – like peaches, nectarines and plums.
“This is an opportunity to give people a chance to buy local stone fruit firsthand instead of having to buy it from a supermarket.
“It’s also an opportunity for people to make a difference in a farmer’s life before Christmas.”
The market starts at 2pm and runs until 7pm.
The usual range of producers will also be there offering a wide range of fruit and vegetables, honey, eggs, bread, meat and flowers.
