But, the weather this weekend will surely remind us which season we’re in.
On Wednesday, there will be a 70 per cent chance of showers across the Lower Hunter, and the possibility of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening.
The temperature on Thursday will remain similar to Wednesday’s at a maximum of 27 degrees.
However, it will likely be more cloudy on Thursday, with a slight chance of a shower in the morning and afternoon.
On Friday, the temperature will climb again, reaching a top of 31 degrees.
It will be mostly sunny, with light winds, leading into a hot weekend.
Saturday will bring a forecast maximum temperature of 36 degrees, but Sunday will be the big one.
The Bureau of Meteorology predicts a hot and sunny day on January 7, reaching a maximum of 41 degrees in Maitland.
Thankfully, it is expected to drop almost 10 degrees on Monday, with a maximum forecast temperature of 33 degrees.
