The Slow Food Earth Market is back in The Levee on Thursday from 2pm with a wide range of local food to get those taste buds flowing – including some juicy peaches.
This time they will come from a farm in Belford, called Verdant Produce. Farmer Sophie Nichols shared a picture of the peach harvest last week – and also has other fruit that will inspire your menu.
Oakhampton farmer Austin Breiner will be back with his usual range of fruit and vegetables, and you will also find Telarah Public School’s herbs, and produce from turmeric grower Liz Griffiths at his stall.
Tom Christie and Dominique Northam will have their popular garlic for sale – along with a range of salad greens perfect for summer.
Mr Christie spoke of his love for garlic with Fairfax Media late last year.
Young farmer Liam Dennis will harvest a wide range of produce from the Morpeth Road farm to sell, Kelly Eaton will have eggs and salad greens from her property Little Hill Farm, and Hunter Olive Growers and Sellers Ian and Kayleen Anderson will be ready with their popular range of olives.
If you need some honey Urban Hum’s Kelly Lees and Lorn producer Liz Francis will be buzzing with products.
Backyard producer Felicia Nyugen and Gresford’s Zanthe Addison will also add home grown produce to the mix.
