Investigations are continuing into a brazen bank robbery at East Maitland on Thursday.

At about 9.30am that morning, a man with his face covered and armed with a rifle entered the East Maitland branch of The Mutual, threatening staff and demanding money.
Police confirmed a “quantity of cash” was stolen before the gunman ran outside to the awaiting getaway car.
CCTV cameras captured images of a white Holden Commodore leaving the scene.
No bank staff were injured in the robbery, with relations of staff members commenting online that those present “were shaken but not hurt”.
Police have described the gunman as 175cm tall with a medium build.
