The Maitland store will take part in the annual Emergency Services Volunteers BBQ from 9am-4pm, with proceeds going to the East Maitland Rural Fire Service.
Bunnings Warehouse Maitland complex manager Matt Jones said the event was a terrific way for people to show their appreciation for everyday heroes and the important work they carry do.
“The team is looking forward to manning the BBQ and doing their bit to help at such a critical time of year for NSW RFS,” he said.
Lower Hunter RFS operational officer Guy Baddock said the team was grateful for the support, which would go a long way in helping the firies do their jobs. “It goes a long way,” he said.
