The items on display had been created during bimonthly craft and friendship days, where members learned how to create things or brought their own “ufos” otherwise known as unfinished objects.
A judge was called in from a different CWA branch to pick the winners in various categories, which included the land section (all natural materials), a quilt section, over 80s and a children’s section.
The winners at the branch stage will go on to compete against more than 20 other branches in the Hunter River group, and if successful, will then compete in the state level at the NSW CWA conference.
