AN incident near Private P.Z. Trzecinski bridge caused curiosity for motorists on Friday morning.

At about 11.30am, officers from Port Stephens/Hunter Police District were called to control a pair of llamas on the loose.
A concerned passer by noticed the two creatures by the side of the New England Highway, in the vicinity of Bunnings Warehouse and Telarah lagoon.
The initial two llamas were joined by another, and they were all contained in an area not far past the bridge.
Maitland City Council rangers attended the scene and completed the operation.
