Following a successful first day of Maitland Show 2018 on Friday, the momentum continued into the weekend.
On Friday evening, Caitlin Hipwell was crowned Maitland Showgirl 2018.
The 19-year-old from Bolwarra Heights decided to participate in the competition based her family’s ties to the Maitland Show, the local teen decided to enter the annual competition.
But, Showgirl wasn’t the only competition on offer.
The pavilion was full of entries, with people eager to show off their prized pumpkins, flowers, and chickens.
Animals were also popular at the nursery.
Those seeking a bit of action were treated to a range of events including the tent pegging competition, the DMAX precision driving team, wood chopping, tug-o-war, and much more.
Fireworks provided a spectacular end to the show at 9pm.
