Police will allege that Andrew Manners, 32, became aggressive and threatening towards police when officers from Strike Force Raptor stopped a vehicle he was travelling in at Chisholm.
As officers tried to arrest him, he allegedly resisted before fleeing the scene.
He attended Maitland Police Station two days later on Wednesday, where he was arrested and charged with assaulting police, resisting arrest, intimidating police and offensive language.
He appeared briefly at Maitland Local Court on Thursday where bail was refused.
He will next appear on March 8 via audio visual link.
Strike Force Raptor was established in 2009 to specifically target organised criminal activity.
