Last week he was in Victoria competing at the 2012 Australian Four-Day Enduro (A4DE), just a month after taking part in the International Six-Day Enduro (ISDE) in Germany.
And on Monday the 25-year-old, who recently relocated to Aberglasslyn from Singleton, takes off to Mexico via Los Angeles for the Baja 1000 for an event he describes as “the biggest desert race they have over that way”.
Such is the lifestyle of a professional motorcycle rider and it’s something he would like to continue for as long as possible.
“I would like to end up in the US or Europe riding full-time,” Price said.
“That is one of my initial goals and it is slowly coming along.”
Price will have a chance to impress scouts and selectors next week when he joins the US branch of his Motorex KTM team.
He will be one of six riders vying for five positions to compete at the Baja 1000.
“I’m really looking forward to it,” he said.
“We have pre runs on November 6, 7 and 8 so if I can do something pretty good, there is an opportunity there for me to get a ride.
“Obviously the best way to learn is on the bike, but even if I end up in the chopper as an extra rider it will still be a great experience.”
Price already has some impressive credentials next to his name including second place in both
individual (E3 class) and team (Australia) divisions at the recent ISDE, which was his best return in three visits to the annual international competition.
That was achieved while carrying broken ribs for most of the race.
At last week’s A4DE he won his class for the second time and the two-time former champion finished second overall.
And from earlier in 2012, Price had successful visits to the Australian Off-Road Championships, the Finke Desert Race and the Hattah Desert Race.
The highlight was the Finke Desert Race in Alice Springs, which he claimed for the second time (2010 and 2012).
It was the initial triumph for Price, who has been riding motorbikes for as long as he can remember, that earned him notoriety by becoming just the third person to win the annual race at his first attempt.
