The Pythons can now turn their attention to claiming their sixth major premiership on the trot.
They begin their campaign in the major semi-final against Paterson at Hinton on Saturday, with the major advancing straight to the A-grade grand final on March 24.
Port Stephens 2nd XI faces SMR in the minor semi-final at Coronation Oval. The winner will go into the preliminary final to play the loser of the major semi-final and the chance of a grand final spot.
The fifth to eight ranked teams in A-grade face each other in the B-grade finals.
Raworth Rabbitohs and Regal Hunter Tigers meet in the major semi-final at Roy Jordan Oval. Bowthorn and Seaham clash in the minor semi-final at Thornton 2.
Paterson 1st and 2nd XIs, Paterson and SMR all had final round wins to go into the finals.
Paterson 2/118 defeated Regal Hunter 8/114 with opener Matt Jones making 70 not out.
Port 1st XI 212 def Lochinvar 50, Port 2nd XI 1/130 defeated Lakeside Village 125.
SMR made 147 and were able to restrict Regal Hunter to 134 with SMR’s David Seers man of the match with 31 and 4-25.
Bowthorne geared up for the finals blasting 7/306 against Seaham and dismissing them for 213.
There were plenty of big scores with Bowthorne’s Steven Webster falling one run of a ton, skipper Scott Boyd 65 and Brad Duncan 63 not out. Seaham’s Michael Benhard made 92.
Paterson C-grade claimed the minor premiership with a thrilling final over victory against top-two rival Kurri Kurri Kookaburras.
Paterson got the winning runs with just one-wicket in hand posting 9/175 chasing Kurri’s 8/174.
The two teams meet at SMR on Saturday in the major semi-final with the winner to progress straight to the grand final on March 24.
