The Mercury took a behind the scenes look at the new section on Tuesday, which includes a restaurant precinct called The Courtyard as well as more than 50 stores including David Jones, JB Hi-Fi and Harris Scarfe.
The new restaurant precinct includes a new inclusive playground fit with animatronics, an area for live music, Timezone, as well as a range of eateries such as Guzman y Gomez, Pizza Hut, Burger Urge, Rashay’s Restaurant, Kinn Thai and TGI Fridays.
It will be open from mid-morning through to the evening.
Also featured in The Courtyard is an interactive LED light display inspired by Sydney’s Vivid that can be programmed to suit themes such as Christmas, Valentine’s Day or seasonal.
The new Hoyts Cinema – set to open in June – will also stem off the outdoor eating area.
Stockland project director Peter Hugh said he was looking forward to celebrating the official opening with customers later this month.
“This incredible $414 million project has brought thousands of new jobs to the region and will transform Green Hills into a premier shopping, dining, leisure and entertainment destination on par with any leading metro-city shopping centre in the country,” Mr Hugh said.
“The new Stockland Green Hills will be a bigger, brighter and more vibrant shopping experience.”
