A reformatted rounds seven and eight saw both rounds decided on Sunday, as Ferris relied on consistency to maintain his perfect Thor MX1 round streak for season 2018.
Ferris kept Yamaha teammate Dylan Long and Honda’s Brett Metcalfe at bay for the round seven points, then used a 2-2 result to snatch the round eight win from KTM’s Luke Clout and Long.
Ferris led from start to finish to win race one of round seven by 1.8-seconds over Metcalfe.
Long broke through for his first race victory of the year in race two finishing 4.5 seconds ahead of Ferris.
Ferris collected the round eight points with two second placings, behind Long in race one and Clout in race two.
Ferris’ consistency of gaining podium finishes has been the key to his success in the series to date.
