Private Tax Manager

Our client is a top tier public practice firm operating for more than 175 years that provides a suite of business services including audit and assurance, tax and financial advisory to private and publicly listed companies, with a particular focus on high net worth individuals ($10 million to $1 billion).

Your new role

Our client is seeking a Tax Manager to support the growing business and work alongside the Partners of the firm to improve the performance of existing systems and workflows leading to higher efficiency, profitability and best practice of compliance. You will assist the team in the day to day running of operations through:

• Providing transactional tax advice to a diverse range of clients within a range of industries both domestically and internationally (restructuring, tax governance in cross border transactions (inbound and outbound investments)
• Career development of team including regular performance appraisals
• Strong client engagement and business development skills
• Strategic business planning for the Tax Services division
• High accountability and productivity in meeting budgets and goals for the team and individually

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree qualifications in Commerce and/or Law with post-graduate accounting, tax and legal qualifications (CA, CTA and/or Masters of Tax equivalent)
• Proven team leadership experience in managing and delivering complex engagements across a diverse client portfolio (high net worth families, fast growth start ups)
• Strong client engagement and technical skills
• Tax strategy implementation and project management experience
